Date Created : 8/12/2026 : Story Author : Susana Danso/Ghanadistricts.com
The Sub-Committee, visited the Teshie First Junction, Tsuibleoo and Lascala Transport Unions to interact with operators and gain a better understanding of the challenges affecting their activities.
Hon. Kabu explained that the Committee’s mandate covers key areas including sanitation, health, markets, schools, transport, youth development and education. He said stakeholder engagements were therefore necessary to identify challenges and develop practical solutions that would improve the well-being of residents.
He noted that the interactions with the transport unions would help the Assembly better understand their concerns and identify areas where support and interventions were needed.
Prior to the engagement with the transport unions, the Social Services Sub-Committee had also toured selected pre-schools within the municipality to assess their condition, identify challenges and discuss possible measures to improve their operations and learning environment.
