The Juaboso District is one of the 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana and forms part of the 9 MMDAs in the Western North Region.

Juaboso District is located between Latitude 6° 6N and 7 °’ N, and Longitude 2 ° 40’ W and 3 °, 15 W. The Juaboso district has a land area of 1,291 square kilometers.

 

The Juaboso District administrative capital Juaboso is located 360km to the north-west of Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan, the regional capital and a distance of 225km from Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

 

The Juaboso District shares borders with Bia East and West Districts and Asunafo North Municipal in the north, Asunafo South District and Bodi District to the east, Suaman District to the south and La Cote d’lvoire to the west.

 

The population of the District according to 2021 population and housing census stands at 88,814 with 45,722 males and 43,092 females.
