The Asene Manso Akroso District Assembly is one of the 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in Ghana and forms part of the 33 Municipalities and Districts in Eastern Region.
The Asene Manso Akroso District Assembly is carved out of the Birim Central Municipal Assembly as one of the 38 newly created and upgraded District Assemblies in 2018.
Created with LI 2341, the Asene Manso Akroso District Assembly has its capital as Manso. It covers a total estimated surface area of 417 square kilometers
It was inaugurated on March 15, 2018 alongside other 37 newly created districts.
The District has a total land surface area estimated at 632.46km2 and shares boundaries with Birim Central Municipal, West Akim Municipal, Birim South District, Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District, Agona East District and Denkyembour District.
