Asene Manso Akroso District Cuts Sod for New Police Station
A major step toward enhancing security in the Asene Manso Akroso District has been taken as the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Eric Ahinakwa, in collaboration with the Akroso Traditional Council, officially cut sod for the construction of a new police station at Akroso.

The ceremony, held under the leadership of Nana Kwabena Ofori II, brought together traditional authorities, community leaders, and residents who pledged strong support for the project. The initiative is expected to significantly improve law enforcement presence and strengthen peace and order within the community.
What stood out during the event was the remarkable show of unity and community-driven development. Several individuals and groups made generous contributions toward the construction. Mr. Ekow donated 5,000 foreign blocks and 200 bags of cement, while Hon. Eric Ahinakwa personally supported the project with 100 bags of cement and three trips of sand.
Further support came from the Queen and her Abusuapanyin, who contributed 20 bags of cement, while the Akroso Abusuapanyinfo pledged an additional 85 bags. The Local Council of Churches also made a significant donation of 200 bags of cement, highlighting the strong collaboration between traditional, religious, and civic stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Eric Ahinakwa emphasized the importance of the project, describing it as a major milestone in the district’s development agenda. He noted that the new police station, when completed, will enhance safety, improve rapid response to security issues, and create a more enabling environment for growth and investment.
The project stands as a shining example of what community collaboration can achieve, reflecting the determination of the people of Akroso to build a safer and more prosperous future for the entire Asene Manso Akroso District.
