The Kwadaso Municipal is one of the 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana, and forms part of the 43 of MMDAs in the Ashanti Region.
The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly is carved out of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly as one of the 38 newly created and upgraded District Assemblies in 2018.
Created with LI 2292, the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has its capital as Kwadaso and was inaugurated on March 15, 2018 alongside other 37 newly created districts.
Kwadaso Municipal is located at the central part of the Ashanti Region and is bound on the north-west by Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal, north-east by Atwima Nwabiagya North District, on the south by Atwima Kwanwoma District and the east by Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
The population of the Municipality according to 2021 population and housing census stands at 154,526 with 75,205 males and 79,321 females.
