The Bodi District is one of the 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana and forms part of the 9 MMDAs in the Western North Region.

 

Bodi District with its administrative capital Bodi was carved from Juaboso. With the Legislative Instrument (LI) 2020, it forms part of the new Districts and Municipalities created in the year 2012 and were inaugurated at their various locations simultaneously on the 28th June, 2012.

 

The Bodi District is located in the northern part of the Western Region, the district has a total land size of about 679 square kilometres

 

It shares borders with Juaboso District to the north, Sefwi Wiawso Municipal to the west and Sefwi Akontombra District to the south, Suaman District to the east.

 

The population of the District according to 2021 population and housing census stands at 65,748 with 33,653 males and 32,095 females.
