Twifo Heman Lower Denkyira District Assembly is one of the 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana and forms part of the 22 MMDAs in Central Region.

With its Administrative capital Heman, the District is located on the western part of the Central Region of Ghana and occupies a landmark of 575.5 square kilometers making it one of the biggest districts in the Central Region.

It shares common boundaries on the north with the Twifo Atti Morkwa District, the south with Cape Coast Metropolis, the west with Amenfi West Municipal and Mpohor District, and on the east with the Assin South District.

The population of the District according to 2021 population and housing census stands at 66,075 with 32,883 male and 33,192 female.
