Akuapem South MCE Welcomes KG Pupils, Supports Seven Children with Uniforms

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Akuapem South, Hon. Paul Osae Offei, together with the Municipal Education Directorate, led by Mrs. Elizabeth Afriyie, has welcomed pupils across the municipality as they began their first day of school.

The engagement formed part of efforts to encourage young learners and support a smooth and welcoming transition into formal education.

The MCE and his team visited Kwasi Doi KG School, Ahyiresu KG School, Dago KG School and Anamenampa KG School, where they interacted with the children and encouraged them as they took their first steps into the educational system.

As part of the visits, Hon. Paul Osae Offei presented textbooks and other learning materials to support teaching and learning and help make the school experience more engaging for the pupils.

At Anamenampa KG School, the MCE additionally provided cash to support the purchase of school uniforms for seven pupils who reported to school without uniforms.

The gesture underscores the Assembly’s commitment to promoting inclusive access to basic education and ensuring that children, regardless of their circumstances, have the support needed to begin their educational journey with confidence.

Hon. Paul Osae Offei encouraged the pupils to listen to their teachers, learn diligently and take their education seriously, while urging parents and guardians to continue supporting their children’s education.

The initiative reflects the Akuapem South Municipal Assembly’s broader commitment to improving educational outcomes and creating a positive foundation for the next generation.
