Persons with Disabilities Empowered in Afram Plains North

A total of 116 beneficiaries received various forms of livelihood and educational support, aimed at promoting inclusion, empowerment, and self-reliance.
The beneficiaries were presented with an array of industrial and vocational equipment, including deep freezers, cassava graters, gas ovens, fufu pounding machines, carpentry and welding tools, sewing machines, fishing nets, and irrigation pumping machines. Additionally, they received start-up capital, educational support, and other productive equipment.
Hon. Kate Mawusi Babanawo reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to improving the welfare of persons with disabilities, ensuring that no one is left behind in the district's development agenda.
"We are dedicated to creating an inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive," she emphasized.
The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the District Assembly for the timely and impactful support. The gesture has undoubtedly brought hope and renewed spirits to the persons with disabilities in the district, empowering them to become self-reliant and contribute to the local economy.
