The Municipal Chief Executive, Seth Serwornoo Banini, disclosed this in an interview with Ghanadistricts Tv, stating that the Assembly has prioritized road development as a key component of its transformation agenda.

According to him, the municipality’s road expansion drive has been widely distributed to ensure fairness and inclusivity. He revealed that the Assembly has 13 electoral areas, and each area has benefited from approximately 7 kilometres of road construction or rehabilitation.

Mr. Banini noted that several roads within the municipality have either been newly constructed or upgraded to improve access for residents and businesses. He explained that these interventions are aimed at easing transportation challenges, reducing travel time, and facilitating the movement of goods and services.

He emphasized that the improved road network is already having a positive impact on communities, particularly in previously underserved areas where poor road conditions had hindered development.

The MCE further indicated that the Assembly, in collaboration with central government and other stakeholders, remains committed to sustaining the progress by initiating more road projects across the municipality.

He assured residents that efforts are ongoing to ensure that all major roads are brought to a good standard, adding that the Assembly is focused on delivering quality infrastructure that meets the needs of the people.

Residents have welcomed the development, expressing optimism that the improved road infrastructure will boost economic activities and improve their overall quality of life.

The Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly continues to position itself as a growing hub for development, with infrastructure improvement remaining a top priority.
