Hon. Bentil gave the assurance during an engagement with members of the disability community, where she reiterated the Assembly's dedication to promoting inclusivity and improving the welfare of vulnerable groups within the district.

According to the DCE, the allocation from the District Assemblies Common Fund is intended to support the economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and general well-being of Persons with Disabilities. She emphasized that the Assembly recognizes the important role PWDs play in national development and remains committed to addressing their needs.

"We are committed to ensuring that Persons with Disabilities receive their rightful share of the Common Fund to support their livelihoods and improve their quality of life. The Assembly will continue to work closely with disability groups to ensure that the funds are utilized effectively for their intended purpose," Hon. Bentil stated.

She encouraged beneficiaries to make good use of the support provided to enhance their businesses, educational pursuits, and other income-generating activities that will improve their living conditions.

Representatives of the disability community expressed appreciation to the DCE and the Assembly for the assurance and pledged to continue collaborating with the district authorities to promote the welfare and development of Persons with Disabilities.

The District Assembly has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that government interventions reach all segments of society, particularly vulnerable groups, as part of efforts to foster inclusive development in the District.
