The meeting provided a platform for members to deliberate on key issues relating to the municipality’s development priorities, financial planning, revenue mobilisation and accountability.

Key matters discussed included the 2027 Annual Action Plan, 2027 Fee Fixing Resolution, 2027 Composite Budget, 2027 Revenue Improvement Action Plan, and the 2025 Auditor-General’s Report.

The deliberations offered members the opportunity to examine the Assembly’s proposed development priorities, review revenue mobilisation strategies and consider financial measures to support the effective implementation of planned projects and programmes.

The consideration of the 2027 Fee Fixing Resolution and Revenue Improvement Action Plan was particularly important in strengthening the Assembly’s internally generated funds to support local development and improve service delivery across the municipality.

Members also considered the 2025 Auditor-General’s Report as part of efforts to promote transparency, accountability and prudent financial management in the use of public resources.
