The beneficiary communities are Nyikutor, Suipe, Dewegodo, Devenu and Nugble, which are among the areas affected by the floods, particularly in the Shime communities.

The intervention forms part of efforts by the Assembly and NADMO to alleviate the suffering of affected households and provide essential support to families whose livelihoods and living conditions have been disrupted by the disaster.

The relief items distributed included rice, blankets, cups, mosquito nets, vegetable cooking oil and other essential supplies to help meet the immediate needs of the affected residents.

Speaking on the intervention, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Anloga, Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor, reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting families affected by the floods.

She noted that the Assembly would continue to collaborate with NADMO and other relevant stakeholders to respond to the needs of communities during emergencies and ensure that vulnerable households received the necessary assistance.
