AMA Receives Ultra-Modern Audio-Visual Information Van to Boost Public Communication
The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has received a state-of-the-art audio-visual information van from the Information Services Department (ISD) to enhance public education, community engagement, and official communication within the metropolis.

The multi-purpose vehicle is equipped with a high-powered public address system, mounted column speakers, two additional loudspeakers, and an audio mixer. It also features dual LED screens installed on both sides, designed to display videos, graphics, educational content, and live broadcasts.
In addition, the van comes with internal WiFi, broadcast feed integration, and online streaming capabilities, enabling it to receive and transmit live government broadcasts, national television feeds, emergency updates, and other official information in real time.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, the Mayor of Accra, Hon. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, expressed gratitude to the government and the ISD for the intervention. He noted that the new van addresses a longstanding gap in the Assembly’s communication infrastructure.
He assured that the Assembly would ensure proper maintenance and effective use of the vehicle, emphasizing that it is strictly designated for official government functions and not for private or commercial use.
