Kwahu South Assembly Organises Leadership Training for Assembly Members

The Kwahu South Municipal Assembly has organised a two-day Next Generation Leadership Training for Assembly Members to strengthen their leadership capacity and enhance effective local governance.

The training, held from August 24 to 25, 2026, was facilitated by a team from the Institute of Local Government Studies (ILGS).

The programme focused on key areas including leadership, effective communication, decision-making, teamwork, accountability, conflict management and community engagement.

Participants were also encouraged to embrace visionary and responsive leadership in order to drive development and improve service delivery to residents within the municipality.

The Assembly said the training forms part of its commitment to continuous capacity building for Assembly Members and other stakeholders to promote sustainable development.

The Assembly Members, for their part, pledged to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training to positively impact their respective communities and contribute to improved local governance.
