Ablekuma North Assembly Supports Traditional Leaders with Homowo Donations
The Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly has presented cash, food items and other relief items to Chiefs and Traditional Leaders within the municipality as part of its annual support towards the celebration of the Homowo Festival.

The presentation, held at the forecourt of the Assembly, was led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Musa Kalamu Adamu, together with the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ablekuma North Constituency, Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Musa Kalamu Adamu described the donation as the Assembly's annual gesture to strengthen its longstanding partnership with traditional authorities in promoting peace, unity and development within the municipality.
He prayed for God's guidance and protection over the municipality during the Homowo celebrations and reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to working closely with the chiefs and traditional leaders to accelerate socio-economic development.
The MCE acknowledged the invaluable role traditional authorities continue to play in preserving the rich cultural heritage of the people while supporting local governance and community development.On her part, Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn described the chiefs and traditional leaders as the fathers and mothers of the municipality, whose leadership and wisdom remain vital to maintaining peace and cohesion in their respective communities.
She noted that supporting them during the Homowo Festival was a demonstration of appreciation for their continuous service and contribution to the development of Ablekuma North.
The Member of Parliament also urged residents to celebrate the festival responsibly by remaining vigilant and observing all necessary safety measures to ensure a peaceful and incident-free Homowo celebration.
The ceremony was attended by chiefs and traditional leaders from Kwashieman, Sempe Sakaman, Odorkor Official Town, Sempe, Tsui Maami, Darkuman and Awoshie Adan Mami, as well as the Municipal Coordinating Director, Assembly Members, Heads of Departments and Party Executives.
The annual donation forms part of the Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly's commitment to preserving cultural traditions, strengthening collaboration with traditional authorities and promoting peaceful coexistence and development across the municipality.
