The facility is expected to provide a more conducive environment for Assembly Members, management, staff and other stakeholders to deliberate on issues affecting the Municipality.

Speaking at the commissioning, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Ibrahim Fuseini Faila, said the Assembly previously had to hire chairs whenever they organised meetings and other official programmes.

He explained that the newly furnished hall would help address that challenge while reducing the Assembly’s reliance on rented furniture for its activities.

According to the MCE, the investment forms part of efforts to improve the Assembly’s working environment and provide modern infrastructure that supports efficient local governance.

He further expressed optimism that the facility would contribute to more effective deliberations and improve the overall image and functionality of the Municipal Assembly.

The commissioning brought together Assembly Members, management, staff and other stakeholders who welcomed the development as an important addition to the Assembly’s infrastructure.
