Mampong Municipal Assembly Disburses PWD Fund to Support Economic Empowerment

The Mampong Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with key stakeholders, has organised a Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Fund Disbursement Durbar to promote economic empowerment and social inclusion for persons living with disabilities in the municipality.

As part of the exercise, beneficiaries received financial assistance and a variety of livelihood support items, including sewing machines, wheelchairs, freezers, and other assistive devices to enhance their income-generating activities and improve their quality of life.

The initiative forms part of the Assembly's commitment to empowering persons with disabilities, fostering self-reliance, and ensuring their active participation in the socio-economic development of the municipality.
