He was accompanied by Chief Director Mrs. Felicia Dapaah, Director of Human Resource Miss Stella Panwum, Head of Public Affairs Mrs. Doris Adjetey Adjei, and Eastern Regional Coordinating Director Mr. Ebenezer Amoah.

Professor Mensah outlined his vision for enhanced local governance, emphasizing staff collaboration and addressing operational challenges to improve service delivery. He highlighted data-driven decision-making as a cornerstone for the Assembly's progress, particularly in employment, postings, and resource allocation, to ensure transparency and eliminate favoritism.

“Our core mandate is service to the people,” Professor Mensah stated. He cited practical initiatives, such as providing business training for local sellers, which could boost commerce and improve tax compliance. He further encouraged the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Adongo, to foster close collaboration with departmental heads through regular capacity-building programs to achieve efficient results.

The Head of Service also addressed staff discipline, cautioning against absenteeism, lateness, and the alteration of birth dates—a practice that leads to financial loss for the state. He reminded staff of their obligation to fulfill an eight-hour workday.

In his response, Hon. Samuel Adongo thanked the delegation for their visit and assured them of the Assembly’s commitment to addressing the issues raised.
