68 Persons with Disabilities Receive Livelihood Support in Kwahu East

Sixty-eight Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Kwahu East District have received livelihood support items from the Kwahu East District Assembly as part of efforts to promote economic empowerment and improve their standard of living.

The support, provided under the leadership of the District Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Asamoah, forms part of the Assembly's commitment to enhancing the economic self-sufficiency of Persons with Disabilities through sustainable livelihood interventions.

The beneficiaries received various items tailored to support their individual trades and income-generating activities, enabling them to become more financially independent and improve their livelihoods.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Hon. Samuel Asamoah reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to promoting inclusive development by ensuring that vulnerable groups, particularly Persons with Disabilities, are empowered with the resources needed to participate meaningfully in the local economy.


He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the items provided to expand their businesses and improve their living conditions while encouraging them to remain committed to self-reliance.

The District Chief Executive also reiterated the Assembly's resolve to continue implementing programmes and interventions that foster social inclusion, reduce poverty, and improve the welfare of Persons with Disabilities in the district.

The presentation underscores the Kwahu East District Assembly's dedication to promoting inclusive growth and creating equal opportunities for all residents.
