Fanteakwa North DCE Donates Sanitation Equipment, Installs Streetlight to Boost Cleanliness and Security

The District Chief Executive for Fanteakwa North, Sheikh Osumanu Abubakar Odysseus, in collaboration with the Fanteakwa North District Assembly, has donated covered dust bins and other sanitation equipment to selected public institutions within the district.

The intervention forms part of the Assembly’s broader strategy to strengthen sanitation management and promote environmental cleanliness across the district.

The District Police Station, Begoro

Begoro–Accra Main Station

Obooho Station

The District Hospital

In addition to the sanitation support, the Assembly facilitated the installation of a streetlight at the Police Department to improve visibility at night and enhance security in the area.

Speaking on the initiative, the DCE emphasized that maintaining a clean environment and ensuring public safety remain top priorities of the Assembly. He noted that providing appropriate waste disposal facilities to key public institutions will help reduce indiscriminate dumping, improve hygiene standards, and promote public health.

The installation of the streetlight, he added, is expected to deter criminal activities and improve safety for officers and residents who access the facility, especially during night hours.

The initiative underscores the Assembly’s commitment to creating a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment for the people of Fanteakwa North. Residents and stakeholders have been encouraged to support the effort by properly managing waste and safeguarding public infrastructure for the benefit of all.
