Nsawam Adoagyiri MCE Commissions New CHPS Compound at Bowkrom to Enhance Rural Healthcare

In a major boost to healthcare delivery in rural communities, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Mr. Philibert Selormy Fummey, has officially commissioned a newly constructed Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Bowkrom.

The fully completed facility is designed and equipped to bring quality primary healthcare services closer to the doorsteps of residents of Bowkrom and neighboring communities, significantly reducing the need for long-distance travel to access essential medical care.

The newly commissioned CHPS compound features a modern outpatient department, consulting rooms, a maternity and delivery ward, and residential accommodation for healthcare personnel. These facilities will ensure the provision of 24-hour healthcare services, including maternal and child health care, emergency care, and other essential health services.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony held yesterday, I emphasized that the project reflects the government's unwavering commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery and improving access to quality healthcare for all. I also appealed to community members to accord healthcare professionals the respect they deserve and to work together in maintaining the facility to ensure its long-term sustainability.

The commissioning of the Bowkrom CHPS compound marks another significant milestone in the municipality's efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure and promote the well-being of its people.
