The ceremony marked the completion of the health facility, which was constructed through a partnership between The Church of Pentecost and the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly.

The facility is expected to improve access to quality primary healthcare services for residents of Sota and surrounding communities.

In his address, Hon. Dordoe commended The Church of Pentecost for its continued commitment to community development and investment in initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of citizens.

He said the collaboration demonstrated the importance of partnerships between faith-based organisations and local government authorities in promoting socio-economic development and expanding access to essential public services.

The DCE reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance healthcare delivery and urged residents to take ownership of the facility by ensuring its proper use, maintenance and protection.

He also encouraged health professionals who would be posted to the facility to provide quality, compassionate and professional healthcare services to residents.

The programme featured remarks from representatives of the Shai-Osudoku District Health Directorate, traditional authorities, the leadership of The Church of Pentecost and the Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) Directorate, who highlighted the importance of the project and the collective efforts that contributed to its completion.

Activities at the ceremony included the dedication and commissioning of the facility, the symbolic handover to the Health Directorate, inspection of the completed project and a free medical screening exercise organised by Pentecost Hospital–Madina.

Receiving the facility on behalf of the Health Directorate, officials expressed appreciation to The Church of Pentecost and the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly for their collaboration and support.

The Directorate assured the public that the CHPS Compound would be fully utilised to provide accessible preventive and curative healthcare services and improve health outcomes in the area.

The completion and handover of the Sota CHPS Compound marks a significant step in efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the Shai-Osudoku District and bring essential health services closer to residents.
