The projects, funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), were officially handed over by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr. Adamu Yakubu, as part of the Assembly's commitment to expanding essential social infrastructure across the municipality.

The facilities comprise a fully furnished CHPS compound with a maternity ward at Kuroboi and a three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at the Kulfuo Friwa Basic School.

The CHPS compound has been connected to the national electricity grid to enhance healthcare delivery, while the classroom block features an office, a staff common room, washrooms, tables and chairs for pupils, and electricity to provide a conducive teaching and learning environment.

Mr. Yakubu explained that the projects formed part of the first phase of development initiatives awarded on contract in 2025, reaffirming the Assembly's commitment to improving the welfare of residents through strategic investments in education and healthcare.

He urged residents to continue supporting the Assembly and their elected representatives through prayers, describing spiritual support as an important ingredient for sustainable development. He also encouraged the beneficiary communities to take ownership of the facilities by adopting a strong maintenance culture to ensure their long-term use.

Receiving the CHPS compound on behalf of the people of Kuroboi, an elder of the community expressed gratitude to the Municipal Assembly and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sissala East for the intervention. He, however, appealed for urgent measures to address the persistent telecommunications network challenges affecting the community.

He noted that access to a reliable mobile network would significantly improve communication and support socio-economic activities in the area.

At Kulfuo, Alhaji Seidu Limann, speaking on behalf of the chief of the community, thanked the Assembly for the construction of the classroom block and urged residents to support initiatives aimed at accelerating development in the area. He also offered prayers for wisdom, guidance, and success for the Member of Parliament and his team.

Responding to the concerns raised, the Member of Parliament for Sissala East, Mr. Issah Mohammed Bataglia, assured residents of Kuroboi that efforts were underway to secure reliable telecommunications services for the community.

He further disclosed that several development initiatives were being pursued across the constituency but indicated that details would only be made public after the necessary approvals had been obtained.

Mr. Bataglia also announced plans to upgrade the Tarsor/Kulfuo Basic School into a Technical Senior High School to equip young people with practical and vocational skills, thereby expanding educational opportunities and promoting skills development within the municipality.
