The project, which commenced on November 17, 2025, includes a fully equipped CHPS compound, nurses' quarters, and a mechanised borehole to ensure a reliable water supply for the facility and the community.

The commissioning forms part of efforts to bring quality healthcare services closer to the people, particularly those in rural communities, and to improve maternal and child health, preventive healthcare, and emergency response at the grassroots level.

Addressing the gathering, the Member of Parliament emphasized the vital role of the Community Health Management Committee in ensuring the sustainability of the facility. He urged members to mobilise residents to make full use of the health services available, monitor the facility, and promptly report any challenges requiring attention.

The District Chief Executive for Amansie Central, Mr. Emmanuel Obeng-Agyemang, encouraged residents of Fahiakobo to seek medical care promptly whenever they fall ill, avoid self-medication, and refrain from seeking treatment from unqualified health practitioners.

He noted that the successful completion of the project reflects the government's commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare and improving the well-being of citizens.

The DCE expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for his vision and commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure across the country.

He also acknowledged the support of the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, for his policy direction, and the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, for his coordination and support towards the successful completion of the project.
