West Akim MCE Inspects and Commissions Key Development Projects

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the West Akim Municipal Assembly, Hon. Paulina Akabila, has inspected and commissioned key infrastructure projects across the municipality as part of efforts to improve public infrastructure and enhance service delivery.

As part of the exercise, the MCE officially commissioned the Onyinafunso Bridge, an abandoned project that has now been successfully completed and opened to the public. The completion of the bridge is expected to improve accessibility, facilitate the movement of people and goods, and enhance road safety for residents and commuters.

Hon. Akabila also inspected the Bunso Bridge following its recent rehabilitation. She expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and announced that the bridge is now ready for public use, providing safer and more reliable transportation for surrounding communities.


The inspection tour concluded at the Asamankese Main Lorry Station, where the MCE assessed the progress of ongoing construction works. She commended the pace of work and expressed optimism that the project would be completed on schedule to improve transport services and provide a more conducive environment for commuters, drivers, and traders.


Hon. Paulina Akabila reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to completing critical infrastructure projects that promote socio-economic development and improve the quality of life for residents of the West Akim Municipality.
