Suhum Assembly Hands Over Five Development Projects to Contractors

The Suhum Municipal Assembly has handed over five project sites to contractors for the commencement of development works across the Municipality.

The projects, being undertaken under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Lydia Ohenewa Sarah, are expected to improve access to healthcare, education, sanitation and potable water for residents in beneficiary communities.

The projects handed over include the construction and furnishing of a CHPS Compound with a mechanised borehole at Adarkwa.

A three-unit Kindergarten (KG) and Nursery classroom block will also be constructed at Brong Densuso to improve the teaching and learning environment for young children in the community.

At Nankese, Amafrom Zongo, the Assembly is undertaking the construction and furnishing of a Health Centre with a mechanised borehole to enhance access to quality healthcare services.

The Assembly has also handed over the site for the construction and furnishing of a three-unit Junior High School (JHS) classroom block at Ayekotse M/A.

In addition, works will be carried out on the paving and fencing of a four-seater Water Closet (WC) and urinal facility with a mechanised borehole at Ayekotse to improve sanitation and access to water.

The Suhum Municipal Assembly said the projects form part of its efforts to address critical infrastructure needs and improve living conditions in communities across the Municipality.

Under the leadership of Hon. Lydia Ohenewa Sarah, the Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to delivering sustainable development projects that directly address the needs of residents and contribute to the overall growth of the Suhum Municipality.
