Kwahu Afram Plains North DCE Inspects 24-Hour Market Project
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwahu Afram Plains North, Hon. Kate Mawusi Babanawo, has led a site meeting with the contractor and consultant working on the district’s 24-Hour Market Project.

The meeting focused on assessing the progress of work, reviewing project timelines and ensuring that construction is executed to the required standards while delivering value for money.
Hon. Babanawo expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and urged the contractor to work diligently to meet the project’s completion deadline without compromising on quality.
She expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama on behalf of the chiefs and people of the district for initiating the project, describing it as a significant step towards advancing the government’s 24-Hour Economy agenda.
According to the DCE, the completion of the market will create employment opportunities, extend trading hours and provide greater economic opportunities for women and other traders in the area.
She noted that the project is expected to contribute significantly to the economic growth of Donkorkrom and the Kwahu Afram Plains North District as a whole.
Hon. Babanawo reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting the President’s development agenda and ensuring that projects aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents are successfully implemented.
