According to the exhibitors, the expo has created an important platform for local businesses, artisans, entrepreneurs and producers to showcase their products and services while connecting with potential customers and investors.

They said increased visibility for businesses operating within the various assemblies could translate into higher economic activity and revenue generation, thereby strengthening the assemblies’ internally generated funds.

The exhibitors noted that when local businesses expand their operations and increase sales, they are better positioned to meet their statutory obligations, including the payment of business operating permits, market tolls, property rates and other local levies.

They therefore called for sustained collaboration between the assemblies and the private sector to create more opportunities for local businesses to grow.

The exhibitors also commended the organisers for bringing businesses and stakeholders together, saying the initiative could contribute to job creation, investment promotion and the overall development of the Eastern Region.

They urged the various assemblies to continue supporting local entrepreneurs through skills development, improved infrastructure and a business-friendly environment to encourage more people to establish and expand businesses within their jurisdictions.
