According to the DCE, the road reshaping exercise forms part of efforts by the Ayensuano District Assembly to address transportation challenges faced by residents, particularly farmers who depend on feeder roads to convey their produce from farming communities to market centres.

He said the exercise has covered several communities and road networks, including New Town to Aburi Amanfrom, Anum Apapamu to Obuoho, as well as other communities within the district.

Hon. Joshua Lartey said the intervention would improve mobility, ease transportation difficulties and support economic activities across Ayensuano, particularly by providing farmers with better access to markets.

He noted that improving rural road connectivity was also critical to his vision of transforming Ayensuano into an industrial hub, explaining that reliable road networks would facilitate the movement of raw materials to processing centres and finished products to markets.

The DCE indicated that the Assembly would continue to prioritise critical feeder roads and work with relevant stakeholders to improve road infrastructure across the district.

He further called for continued collaboration among the Assembly, government agencies and other stakeholders to address the road infrastructure needs of communities and support the socio-economic development of Ayensuano.
