Kwahu South Begins Adawso–New Jerusalem Road Project

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwahu South, Hon. Effah Osei Bonsu David, has led a team to the Adawso community for an official community entry and the commencement of site-clearing works for the long-awaited Adawso–New Jerusalem road project.

The team included the Municipal Engineer, Assembly Members for Adawso, Nketepa, New Oworobong and New Jerusalem, as well as an engineer from Kabaka Construction, the contractor for the project.

The team was warmly received by the Chiefs and Elders of Adawso, who expressed appreciation that the road project had finally received attention from the government. The community formally welcomed the project engineer and assured the contractor and Assembly of their full cooperation throughout the construction period.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Effah Osei Bonsu David expressed appreciation to the traditional authorities and residents for their support. He reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring the successful completion of the project to address the longstanding challenges faced by motorists and residents along the route.

The MCE also appealed to residents whose properties may be affected by the construction works to exercise patience and cooperate with the contractor to facilitate the smooth execution of the project.

The Adawso–New Jerusalem road project is expected to improve connectivity between the beneficiary communities, facilitate the movement of people, goods and services, and create opportunities for increased economic activity within the Kwahu South Municipality.

The Assembly is hopeful that the project will significantly improve transportation and contribute to the socio-economic development of communities along the road corridor.
