The visit, which was met with a warm reception by the Prang traditional leaders, is aimed at forging a "unified and formidable force" to engage the government and development partners on critical issues affecting the region.
Addressing the gathering, Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah emphasized the necessity of unity between the two traditional areas to effectively tackle socio-economic and security challenges. He called on the people of the Bono East Region, particularly those in Atebubu and Prang, to prioritize sustainable development that blends cultural heritage with modern progress. The Atebuntu Chief also urged local government officials to intensify their efforts in developing their respective areas.
Receiving his counterpart, the Paramount Chief of the Prang Traditional Area, Nana Kwadwo Nyarko, underscored the vital role of peace in driving progress. He highlighted that collaboration between traditional authorities is essential to resolving lingering disputes, including the 42 chieftaincy cases and various land conflicts currently within the region.
"The path to socio-economic development is paved with peace and unity," Nana Kwadwo Nyarko stated. He noted that the meeting between the two councils underscores a growing trend of traditional leadership strengthening collaboration to maintain stability and drive development, especially in the face of ongoing regional challenges.
Nana Kwadwo Nyarko expressed profound gratitude to Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah and his delegation for what he described as a wonderful and strategic visit, reaffirming the commitment of the Prang Traditional Council to work hand-in-hand with their Atebubu counterparts for the greater good of the Bono East Region.
