The project forms part of the Assembly's commitment to expanding access to essential social amenities and improving the living standards of residents, particularly those in underserved communities.

Currently underway, the water extension project is expected to provide residents with a reliable source of safe drinking water upon completion, reducing dependence on unsafe water sources and contributing to improved public health and sanitation.

In addition to Nsumia, Lantei, and Akwamu, the communities of Oparekrom, Ahodwo, and Kwarfokrom are also expected to benefit from the ongoing project, ensuring that more residents across the municipality gain access to clean and safe water.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Selorm, reaffirmed his administration's commitment to equitable development and the provision of basic infrastructure to all communities within the municipality.

He noted that access to potable water is essential to improving the quality of life and assured residents that the Assembly remains committed to completing the project to ensure beneficiary communities enjoy a sustainable supply of clean water.

When completed, the project is expected to significantly improve access to potable water, promote better health outcomes, and support the socio-economic development of the beneficiary communities, reflecting the Assembly's commitment to improving the welfare of its people.
