The brief handing-over ceremony, held at the Assembly’s forecourt, brought together heads of departments and staff, with the vehicles officially received by the District Coordinating Director, Eunice Korankye.

Hon. Dordoe explained that the vehicles have not yet been assigned to specific departments as insurance processes are currently ongoing. He assured that once completed, the pick-ups will be deployed to support key activities including revenue mobilization, sanitation monitoring, project inspection, and emergency response.

“I procured these pick-ups to improve our work on the ground. They are currently being insured, and immediately after that process, we will hand them over to the departments that need them,” he stated.

The DCE emphasized that the vehicles are strictly for official use and cautioned against their misuse for private purposes. He further urged departmental heads to ensure proper maintenance and adherence to the Assembly’s transport policies.

Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the Assembly, Ms. Korankye expressed appreciation for the intervention, noting that the pick-ups will help address mobility challenges and improve efficiency once allocated.

Hon. Dordoe reaffirmed his commitment to adequately resourcing the Assembly to enhance performance and bring governance closer to the people.
