The tour, which formed part of the Assembly’s routine monitoring and evaluation activities, started at Abutiakope and continued through Anlo-Afiadenyigba, Tegekope, Atiavi-Atime, before ending at Seva.

At each project site, the team conducted detailed inspections of ongoing works and held review meetings to assess challenges and discuss measures to ensure effective execution and timely completion of the projects.

Mr. Seade expressed satisfaction with the level of progress recorded at the various sites, describing the quality of work as encouraging.

He disclosed that the kindergarten block at the Anlo State School in Abutiakope had been fully completed, while a three-unit classroom block at Atiavi-Atime had also been completed. Other ongoing projects, he noted, had reached roofing level and were progressing steadily.

Earlier during the tour, the MCE and engineers from the Assembly visited the Keta Main Market to assess the flooding situation affecting traders and market activities.

Mr. Seade stressed the need for strict supervision and continuous monitoring by engineers to ensure quality delivery and value for money on all projects being undertaken in the municipality.

“Contractors must strictly adhere to contractual specifications and timelines to ensure the timely completion of projects for the benefit of residents,” he stated.

He noted that the inspection exercise formed part of efforts by the Municipal Assembly to strengthen accountability, improve project supervision, and accelerate infrastructure development across communities in the municipality.
