The inspection formed part of the Minister's working visit to the district ahead of the Saboba District Assembly's Accounting to the People Forum held on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
Accompanied by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. George Wumbei Bilimor, and officials of the Assembly, the Minister visited the ongoing construction of boys' and girls' dormitory blocks, teachers' bungalows and the Headmaster's residence at Wapuli Senior High School.
Hon. Ali Adolf John expressed satisfaction with the progress of work and urged the contractor to maintain quality standards and complete the projects within schedule to improve accommodation for students and teachers.
The delegation also inspected the construction of a modern Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound (Polyclinic) at Wapuli. The Minister described the project as a strategic investment that would significantly improve access to quality healthcare for residents.
At Borgban, the Minister commissioned a newly completed three-unit classroom block with a staff common room, office, library and a four-seater KVIP toilet facility. He noted that the project reflects the Government's commitment to expanding educational infrastructure and creating a conducive teaching and learning environment.
The team further inspected the ongoing construction of the 24-Hour Economy Market in Saboba. Hon. Ali Adolf John said the facility forms part of the Government's flagship 24-Hour Economy initiative under President John Dramani Mahama's Reset Agenda and is expected to stimulate local commerce, create jobs, strengthen agricultural value chains and drive economic growth.
The Minister also visited Kpalba to inspect the construction of the district's largest bridge along the Eastern Corridor. He observed that the bridge would improve transportation, enhance safety, facilitate trade and provide year-round access for communities that have long struggled to cross the river during the rainy season.
He reiterated the Government's commitment to completing critical infrastructure projects that improve socio-economic development and strengthen service delivery across the Saboba District.
