Saboba District Assembly Highlights Development Achievements at Accountability Forum
The Saboba District Assembly has highlighted significant achievements in agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure and youth employment during its Accounting to the People Forum, showcasing progress made under the Government's Reset Agenda.

Presenting the Assembly's performance, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. George Wumbei Bilimor, said the district has recorded notable improvements through strategic investments and government interventions designed to improve livelihoods and accelerate socio-economic development.
He disclosed that the Assembly is facilitating the establishment of the Saboba 24-Hour Economy Market, which is expected to stimulate commercial activities, create employment opportunities and strengthen the local economy.
According to the DCE, twelve beneficiaries under the National Apprenticeship Programme have received tailoring and hairdressing equipment, while 1,000 bags of NPK fertiliser have been distributed to 520 farmers under the Feed Ghana Programme. He further revealed that 50 girls have been enrolled onto the Livelihood Empowerment and Productive Inclusion Programme (LEPIP), while a 15-acre Farmer Service Centre has been established at Garimata to improve agricultural productivity.
Hon. Bilimor also highlighted interventions in the education sector, including the distribution of 400 dual desks, 50 teachers' tables and 50 chairs to schools, as well as the construction of classroom blocks, libraries, staff common rooms and sanitation facilities at Nakpamboni and Borgban. He added that 66 schools, with a combined enrolment of 18,516 pupils, are benefiting from the School Feeding Programme.
In the health sector, the Assembly is constructing CHPS compounds with staff accommodation at Zogbeli, Gbangbanpong, Lifur, Garimata and Wadig, while the Kuntuli CHPS Compound has been completed and the Cambridge CHPS Compound renovated. Construction of a modern polyclinic at Wapuli is also progressing steadily.
The DCE further disclosed that 5,666 households are benefiting from the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) Programme, while 650 Persons with Disabilities have received support through the District Assembly Common Fund.
To strengthen service delivery, the Assembly has donated 27 motorbikes to health personnel working in CHPS compounds and procured three additional motorbikes for the Environmental Health Unit to improve healthcare outreach and environmental sanitation services.
Hon. Bilimor reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to working with government, development partners and local communities to sustain development gains and improve the quality of life of residents throughout the Saboba District.
