The Council is holding the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs, the Regional Security Council led by Regional Minister Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi, the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), and the Ghana Police Service responsible for any bloody act that may occur in the community if they fail to enforce the law.

Investigations by Ghana Districts reveal that the Nkomi stool, also known as the Jinatar Stool, belongs to the Gyamboaye state, established in the 12th century. By customary law, the Somey Gate and Keleta Gate constitute one royal family, and all twelve paramount chiefs who have ruled the traditional area hailed from either gate.

According to the Nkomi Traditional Council, a petition was filed on 8 July 2010 at the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs against the Kelempota family and Kofi Anyikor, seeking to declare that only the Somey and Keleta gates can ascend the stool and that Anyikor is not a royal of any recognised gate. The case (suit number BA/HC/P/4/2010) remains pending before the judicial committee of the Regional House of Chiefs.

Despite a pending suit and injunction motion, Kofi Anyikor began portraying himself as paramount chief in 2024. Nana Krunku Asorenkwa, acting president of the Council and Gyaasehene, told Ghana Districts that Anyikor and thugs forcibly entered the palace by destroying the locks, with no apparent reason.

The Council reports that multiple incidents have been lodged with the Kajaji police and later referred to the Kwame Danso District Police Commander, but no action was taken. Anyikor has been illegally collecting taxes and was arraigned before the Kwame Danso District Court, which issued a bond requiring him to be of good behaviour. Despite this, he continued his actions and was subsequently arrested and arraigned before the Techiman Circuit Court. After being granted bail, he failed to comply with conditions, leading to a bench warrant that remains unexecuted.

Further investigations uncovered that on 17 August 2016, Anyikor was involved in a police recruitment scam, defrauding many young people of thousands of Ghana cedis under the pretext of securing them jobs in the security services.

The Paramount Queen Mother, Nana Ama Mentaso II, called on the national security apparatus, Inspector General of Police, Bono East Regional Minister, and Regional House of Chiefs to clamp down on Anyikor’s criminal activities.

Additionally, educators and opinion leaders in Kajaji allege that Anyikor misrepresents himself as a professor from a non-existent private university, Cine Plus International University, at Chaboba-Kojokrom. They are urging immediate investigations by the Ghana Education Directorate and the Ministry of Education.
