Prioritise discipline, integrity for Ghana’s reset – Offinso North DCE
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Offinso North, Hon. Caesar Ofosu Acheampong, has called on Ghanaians—particularly the youth—to embrace discipline and responsible conduct as part of efforts to build a prosperous and united nation.

He cautioned the youth against using social media to tarnish the image of their families or the country, stressing that such behaviour conflicts with the values needed to achieve the Ghana citizens aspire to.
Hon. Acheampong made the call during this year’s National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, held at the Afrancho E.M. Zion Church in the Ashanti Region. The event, themed "Resetting our Value to Build the Ghana we want," brought together religious leaders, traditional authorities, government officials, and residents to pray for peace, unity, and national development.
The DCE emphasised that national progress depends not only on economic policies but also on the character and values of the people. He noted that the national reset requires citizens to reject insults—especially against leaders—and uphold respect, honesty, and accountability in both public and private life.
He further stated that the misuse of public resources and the growing culture of indiscipline undermine development and must be discouraged.
"The Ghana we desire can only be built when citizens demonstrate integrity, respect for authority, and a commitment to the common good," he stated.

Hon. Acheampong described the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving as an opportunity for Ghanaians to reflect on the moral values bequeathed by the nation’s forefathers and renew their commitment to living by those principles.
Call for practical solutions to unemployment
The founder and leader of Jesus Ture Salvation Pentecost Church and Chairman of the Christian Council of Churches in the area, Apostle K.Y Newman, called on the government and other stakeholders to complement prayers with practical interventions to address youth unemployment. He urged both government and the private sector to support initiatives that empower the youth with entrepreneurship skills to enhance job creation.
Meanwhile, Nana Ameyaw, who represented the Chief of Afrancho, called on citizens to actively participate in community development initiatives. He emphasised that collective efforts and shared responsibility are essential to building the Ghana envisioned under the national observance theme.
