The donation included 25 bags of maize, 40 packs of malt, 50 crates of Heineken, 100 packs of bottled water, 40 containers of palm oil, and four boxes of schnapps.

Presenting the items, Hon. Agbo said the gesture was to assist the traditional authorities in organising a successful Homowo celebration and to reaffirm the Assembly's commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of the Ga people.

He noted that the Assembly values its partnership with traditional leaders and will continue to support initiatives that promote peace, unity, and community development.

The traditional authorities expressed appreciation to the Municipal Assembly for the support, describing it as a demonstration of the strong relationship between the Assembly and the traditional leadership.

The Homowo Festival, celebrated annually by the Ga people, commemorates the end of a historic famine and serves as a symbol of thanksgiving, unity, and cultural identity.
