Birim North Assembly Cuts Sod for Six-Unit Classroom Block at Amuana Praso

The Birim North District Assembly has cut sod for the construction of a six-unit classroom block, office, staff room and store at the Amuana Praso R/C Basic School.

The sod-cutting ceremony officially marked the commencement of the project, which is expected to improve the learning environment and address critical infrastructure needs of pupils and teachers in the community.

The ceremony was attended by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Hakeem Abdul Antwi; District Coordinating Director, Mr. Mark Addo; the District Education Director; Heads of Department; Assembly Members for the community; chiefs and traditional leaders; political representatives and members of the public.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Hakeem Abdul Antwi reaffirmed the commitment of the President and Government to ensuring that development reaches communities across the country, with particular attention to education.

He noted that quality educational infrastructure was essential to creating a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning and improving educational outcomes.

The DCE assured residents of Amuana Praso that the Assembly would continue to work closely with relevant stakeholders to identify and address the development needs of communities across the Birim North District.

The new classroom block and accompanying facilities are expected to provide much-needed infrastructure for the school and create a more suitable environment for both teaching and learning.

The sod-cutting ceremony therefore marks a significant milestone in the educational development of Amuana Praso and forms part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to improving education infrastructure across the district.

The Birim North District Assembly reaffirmed its determination to support projects that promote quality education and ensure that no community is left behind in the district’s development agenda.

The project is expected to contribute to building a better and brighter future for children in Amuana Praso by providing them with improved facilities in which to learn and develop.
