Kwahu West Municipal Assembly Commissions Key Common Fund Projects Across Municipality

The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly has commissioned a number of development projects funded through the Common Fund, marking another significant milestone in the Assembly’s efforts to improve infrastructure and bring essential services closer to residents.

A major highlight of the commissioning was the Fodoa Zonal Council Office, the first Zonal Council Office to be commissioned in the history of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly.

The project represents an important step towards strengthening decentralised governance and bringing administration and development closer to the people. Another Zonal Council Office is also currently being constructed at Asuboni Rails, further expanding the Assembly’s decentralisation efforts.

Other projects commissioned include:

Fodoa Small Town Water System
Trado/Akuadjoo Ultra-Modern KG Block
White House/Asuboni Mechanised Borehole
Adoagyire 440 Mechanised Borehole
Zongo Mechanised Borehole

The projects are expected to improve access to potable water, education and local governance while addressing some of the pressing developmental needs of communities across the municipality. With additional projects expected to be handed over to beneficiary communities.

The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly expressed its commitment to delivering development projects that have a direct and meaningful impact on residents, emphasising the need to build a municipality where communities have improved access to essential services and infrastructure.

The Assembly also expressed appreciation to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama and the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosuah Adjei Awatey, for their support towards the development agenda of the municipality.

The ongoing projects underscore the Assembly’s commitment to achieving more development, greater impact and a better Kwahu West.
