Road Minister Inspects ‘Big Push’ projects in Bono, satisfies with progress of work

He expressed satisfaction with progress of work and noted that the initiative aims to driving economic growth, improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for Ghanaians Mr. Agbodoza commended the Bono Region Minister Mr. Joseph Addae Akwaboa for regular and effective monitoring of ongoing ‘Big Push’ Projects under his watch in the Region.
The first point of visit by the Road Minister and his team for the inspection was Sunyani-Atronie-Acherensua road of 48km. According to the Minister, work was progressing steadily with the project currently at 33% physical completion. Work commenced in September, 2025 and was scheduled for completion in September 2027. The Minister expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and urged the contractor M/S Alexiboam Co. Ltd to sustain the current momentum to ensure the project is delivered on schedule.
Other ‘Big Push’ roads the Minister inspected in the Bono Region include 34km Sunyani Outer Ring Road, 80km Jinijini-Sampa road, on-going construction of the Wenchi-Nsawkaw-Sampa road and Sunyani Inner ring road project of 19km from UENR roundabout through Berlin Top, Baakoniaba to STU roundabout as well as 20km road from Duadasu to Kokoaa and Sampa town roads
On the 80km Jinijini-Sampa road, Rango Construction Ltd who is working it said they have the capacity to construct 1km of asphalt a day and assured the both the Road Minister and Bono Regional Minister of good quality of work and early completion of Jinijini to Sampa road. The Road Minister and his officials check the durability of asphalt constructed to ensure that they were on course.
Mr. Agbodza re-iterated the massive investments government has made in these projects and therefore, expects timely completion. He warned contractors to deliver timely at their various sites or risk losing their contracts. He highlighted the importance of these roads in stimulating socio-economic development, improving transport connectivity and supporting economic expansion.
Mr. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, the Bono Regional Minister assured the people of Sampa of a transformation with the current state of massive development ongoing in the town. He expressed gratitude to H.E President John Dramani Mahama for the massive ‘big push’ projects and the Road Minister for his constant monitoring of the roads within the region to good work and timely completion. He assured the road Minister of his support to monitor and supervise all the roads under construction in the region so that they are completed on time and schedule.
The Road Minister was accompanied by his Deputy, Mr. Alhassan Suhuyini and other high ranking officials.
