The newly completed water facility is expected to address the water needs of the community and ease the burden residents, particularly women and children, often face in accessing potable water.

The Mile 50 project marks the 12th mechanized borehole to be constructed and commissioned by Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye since assuming office in 2025, underscoring the Assembly's commitment to expanding access to essential social services across the municipality.

Speaking at a brief commissioning ceremony, the MCE stated that the provision of mechanized boreholes in communities and market centres forms part of a broader strategy to improve access to clean and dependable water for residents.

He noted that ensuring the availability of potable water remains a priority for the Assembly as it seeks to improve public health outcomes and enhance the quality of life of the people.

"I am grateful to the elders of Mile 50 for their support and cooperation, and I also appreciate the dedication of the team at the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly. Together, we will continue to deliver practical solutions that improve the lives of our people," Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye stated.

Community members welcomed the intervention and expressed appreciation to the Municipal Assembly for responding to their longstanding water challenges.

The Assembly has reiterated its commitment to extending similar development projects to other underserved communities within the municipality as part of efforts to ensure equitable access to basic amenities and promote inclusive development.
