The vehicles, facilitated by the Municipal Finance Officer (MFO), Mr. Michael Komla Nana Atoo, are expected to improve project monitoring, enhance supervision of infrastructure works, and enable quicker responses to development and emergency issues across the municipality.

Receiving the vehicle, Hon. Edmund Agboh described the support as a significant boost to the Assembly's operations, emphasizing that reliable logistics are essential for delivering efficient public services and accelerating local development.

He reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to improving roads, drainage systems, sanitation, and other critical infrastructure, noting that the vehicle would enable officials to conduct more frequent project inspections and respond promptly to the needs of residents.

The Municipal Works Engineer, Ing. Justin Glover, also welcomed the intervention, stating that the vehicle would greatly enhance the department's capacity to monitor ongoing projects, carry out routine inspections, and respond swiftly to infrastructure-related concerns.

According to him, the logistical support will strengthen oversight of road construction, drainage maintenance, and other public infrastructure projects, ultimately improving the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of service delivery throughout the municipality.

Speaking on the initiative, the Municipal Finance Officer, Mr. Michael Komla Nana Atoo, explained that facilitating the acquisition of the vehicles was intended to equip key officials with the logistics needed to perform their responsibilities effectively and improve the Assembly's overall operations.

He noted that the provision of the vehicles forms part of broader efforts to strengthen the Assembly's institutional capacity by ensuring that departments responsible for development planning, infrastructure, and service delivery have the resources required to execute their mandate efficiently.

The presentation forms part of GEMA's ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen institutional effectiveness, and reinforce its commitment to responsive, accountable, and people-centered local governance.
