These facilities comprise one (1) health centre, two (2) clinics, and eight (8) Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds, ensuring that residents can access basic healthcare services within reasonable distances.

The public health facilities are further complemented by licensed chemical shops and herbal practitioners, particularly in rural communities, providing additional options for primary healthcare and first-line treatment. This combination of formal and informal healthcare providers plays a vital role in meeting the health needs of residents, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

Health authorities indicate that the even distribution of health facilities across the district has significantly enhanced healthcare accessibility, with most communities located within acceptable travel distances to the nearest facility. This has contributed to improved health-seeking behavior and better health outcomes for residents.

The District Assembly remains committed to sustaining and strengthening healthcare delivery by supporting existing facilities and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address emerging health needs, in line with national health policy objectives.
