Former President John Mahama supports Buipe flood victims

Mr. John Abdulai Jinapor, the Member of Parliament for Yapei Kusawgu has donated relief items on behalf of former President John Dramani Mahama (JDM) to the Buipe flood victims in Buipe of the Savannah Region.

These items included 100 bags of rice, 50 cartons of cooking oil, 50 cartons of bottled water, and 50 cartons of soap.

In a short ceremony to hand over to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) for onward distribution to the affected flood victims, the MP said the former president shares in the plight of all the people who have been affected by the floods arising from the overflow of the banks of the Black Volta.

On the part of NADMO, the Director Mr. Mustapha Mbonwura received the items on behalf of the victims and expressed his gratitude for the kind gesture of the MP.
Mr Jinapor stated that John Mahama has called on the president of the Republic of Ghana to act as a matter of urgency by resourcing the NADMO to the come to aid of the affected people of the constituency.

The MP also extended a call to benevolent organizations and individuals to consider the plight of the women and their children who are visibly crying out for help and are most vulnerable.

He added his voice to amplify the call the MP made to the President, compassionate organizations and individuals to provide support to alleviate the suffering of the affected people.
