Volta Regional Minister Leads Sod-Cutting Ceremony for Major Development Projects in Keta Constituency

The series of sod-cutting ceremonies, underscore a firm governmental commitment to people-centred development and the strategic expansion of essential services in the region.
The inaugurated projects, designed to directly improve the lives of residents, include:
• A modern two-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Keta State School, Abutiakope.
• A six-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Anlo Afiadenyigba.
• A three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Atiavi.
• CHPS Compounds with staff accommodation at Tengekope and Seva, aimed at dramatically improving access to primary healthcare.
Speaking at the events, Hon. James Gunu emphasised that these initiatives are a direct reflection of the broader developmental vision for the Volta Region under the leadership of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama.
"These projects are not just bricks and mortar; they are foundational investments in the future of our children and the well-being of our communities," stated Hon. Gunu. "They reflect our unwavering commitment to people-centred development and the expansion of essential social infrastructure across the Volta Region."
The Regional Minister also commended the Keta Municipal Assembly and all project stakeholders for their dedication to ensuring the timely delivery of impactful projects. He further encouraged beneficiary communities to take ownership and maintain the facilities for long-term sustainability.
"The success of these investments is a shared responsibility," he noted. "We urge the communities to safeguard these assets so they may serve generations to come."
Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Agakpey, the Constituency MP, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the transformative potential of the projects for local education and healthcare delivery. "Today marks a pivotal step in addressing infrastructural gaps and improving the quality of life for our people. We remain focused on building stronger, more resilient communities."
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Wisdom Seade, assured residents of the assembly's oversight to ensure quality and timely completion of the projects.
The government reaffirms its continued focus on implementing strategic interventions aimed at improving the quality of life for all residents of the Keta Municipality and the wider Volta Region.
