The engagement, which took place at the Freeman Methodist Church in Mankessim, was led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Eric Stanley Acquah. It brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including leaders of the Traders’ Association, representatives of Transport Unions, Zonal Council Members, Hon. Assembly Members, members of the media, and other relevant stakeholders within the Municipality.

Addressing participants, the MCE explained the objectives and key components of the 24Hour Economy Market Project, highlighting its potential to boost economic activity, create jobs, and improve livelihoods within the Municipality. He emphasized that the project is designed to enhance trading activities by providing a structured market system that supports round the clock economic operations.

The MCE stressed the importance of stakeholder collaboration, noting that the success of the project largely depends on the support, cooperation, and active involvement of traders, transport operators, local authorities, and the general public. He therefore called on all stakeholders to play their respective roles to ensure the smooth rollout and sustainability of the project.

Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and make constructive suggestions to help improve the effective implementation of the initiative. Concerns raised during the engagement were addressed, while feedback and recommendations were noted for consideration by the Assembly.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Acquah assured residents of the Municipality of the Assembly’s commitment to continuous stakeholder engagement on development-related issues. He reaffirmed that the Municipal Assembly remains dedicated to inclusive governance and to promoting policies and projects that contribute to the growth and overall development of the Mfantseman Municipality.
