Atiwa East DCE Returns to Former School, Encourages Pupils to Aim High

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atiwa East, Hon. Ernest Owusu Ntim, has returned to the Presbyterian Primary School at Anyinam, where he was once a pupil, to participate in the school's Speech and Prize-Giving Day celebration.

Hon. Owusu Ntim disclosed during the event that he attended the school from the infant level through to completion, making his participation in the celebration a particularly significant occasion.

Reflecting on his experience at the institution, the DCE expressed appreciation for the foundation the Presbyterian Primary School provided during his formative years.

He used the occasion to encourage the pupils to take their education seriously and make good use of the opportunities available to them, stressing that children represent the future of the Atiwa East District.

Hon. Owusu Ntim pledged his continued willingness to support the education, upbringing and development of children in the district and called for collective efforts from parents, teachers, traditional authorities, the District Assembly and other stakeholders.

He urged parents and guardians to take an active interest in the education of their children, noting that strong cooperation between the home, school and community is necessary to raise responsible and productive citizens.

The celebration featured cultural performances, fashion displays, dance presentations and other creative activities by the pupils, alongside the presentation of awards to learners who excelled academically and in other areas.

The District Director of Education, Miss Pearl Leonel Acquah, commended the school for its dedication to nurturing learners and urged pupils to remain disciplined, hardworking and committed to their studies.

Representatives of the Anyinam Traditional Authority and other stakeholders also expressed their support for initiatives aimed at improving education and creating opportunities for children and young people in the community.

Hon. Owusu Ntim's participation in the event, following his earlier engagement at Nanapa for the sod-cutting ceremony of a community self-help teachers' bungalow project, underscored the District Assembly's commitment to education and community development across Atiwa East.
